Hello there, it’s James here. I will share my own experience with Hisense TV, as I’ve been using it for six months.
I read so many Hisense TV reviews on the internet and YouTube, and I finally decided to purchase the TV. As a tech enthusiast, I love the latest technology and gadgets at affordable prices.
So, in this article, I will try my best to cover everything about Hisense TV, what the company is claiming and what is the reality.
Is it really a good and reliable TV? Is it worth buying in 2023? Let’s get started!
Hisense TV Review: Is it Good and Reliable?
Hisense is a popular tech giant, but most people on the internet are concerned about TV quality, performance, and reliability. I was also concerned about it before buying.
I usually play games on TV and watch movies on the TV, so performance and quality were my main concerns.
I purchased the Hisense ULED U6 Series from Amazon.
Picture Quality
The main thing that I love the most about my Hisense U6 series is its 4k picture quality and obviously, it was my main concern.
I know nobody can beat Samsung picture quality but Hisense didn’t disappoint me. Its bright & colorful display makes 4K content look fantastic.
Even low-quality movies look better on it because of its exceptional picture quality. I love its display quality, you will get it when you will watch Netflix or Amazon Prime movies and when you will watch football matches.
I will rate its picture quality 8/10.
Sound quality
According to the company, the sound quality is enhanced in the U6 series but its sound quality is not quite up to the mark, and it is almost the same as previous models.
It has average sound quality and I’m feeling a bit disappointed with it. It was not according to my expectations.
In the specifications, it is mentioned: Audio – Dolby Atmos/IMAX Enhanced. If you have some powerful speakers or other audio options, you shouldn’t be worried about that.
I will rate its sound quality 6.5/10. (Just because there is no enhancement)
You may have seen tech reviewers stating that the sound quality is good, but in reality, it does not match the company’s claims. It has average sound quality, similar to other local brands.
Performance
The performance of the Hisense TV is absolutely perfect. There are no lagging issues, and transitions are super fast. This was my most important concern, and it didn’t disappoint me. I’m very happy with this.
Hisense is offering the Game Mode Plus feature, which not only enhances but also improves gaming performance, but I didn’t feel any major difference with it. In higher-end Hisense models, there are really impressive gaming modes with 144 Hz, but this model is just fine.
If you are using this TV primarily for watching movies, as my wife does, then you will not face any lag issues.
I will rate its performance 8.5/10.
Look and Design
Almost all Hisense TV models have sleek, awesome, and borderless designs. As you know, the bezels are the main factor that makes any phone or TV look more beautiful.
If a phone has fewer bezels, it will be more appealing and look more beautiful, and the same principle applies to TVs. I love the look and design of Hisense TVs.
I will rate its looks and design 9/10.
Features
This TV comes with all the necessary and important features that a smart TV should have.
- ULED display
- Quantum Dot technology
- Dolby Vision HDR
- 60Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 support
- Android TV smart TV
- Google Assistant
- Built-in Chromecast
- Voice control with Alexa and Google Assistant
I will rate it features 9/10.
Remote Control Issue
I faced a major issue with its remote control. When I bought it, it was working fine, but after a few days, it stopped working for no apparent reason. I had to hit the remote multiple times to make it work.
This was the major issue I faced with my Hisense TV. I contacted customer support, but they didn’t replace the remote.
So, I’m still facing this issue.
I will rate its remote control 3/10.
Conclusion
In conclusion, my experience with the Hisense TV has been good so far, as it is a reliable TV. There are a few drawbacks, such as disappointing sound quality and issues with remote control. But overall, everything is exceptional, if I rate this TV I will rate it 7/10 which is not bad. Hisense brand should improve its customer support.
Overall rating: 7/10.
